We decided on a under counter water filter a few weeks ago and settled on the Aquasana AQ-4500. This unit comes with a faucet and can be mounted under the sink in most kitchens. The unit is approved by Underwriters Laboratory, California Department of Health and has won Consumer Digest’s “Best Buy” many years in a row. Sounded good to us! We have a small baby and have been concerned about water quality for ourselves and her.

We found an online distributor that had them for a discounted price and we also joined their “Water Filter Club” for an additional 5% off. This included free shipping. They provided a tracking number from UPS and we received the water filter in a few days. I must say installing was a “snap” and it only took me around a half hour to get it hooked up and going and I haven’t any plumbing experience!  I like this because all we have to do is press down the faucet and out comes clean filtered water. And the idea of using   plastic water bottles with all of the costs and landfill issues just doesn’t suit us. Aquasana AQ-4500!  A “best buy” in our opinion!
